Kansas City has been asking the state and federal government for financial help to pay for extra buses during the World Cup. The clock is ticking, but the transit agency hasn’t gotten a dime.

The agreement with the Department of Transportation will help with funding and project support for about $15 billion worth of infrastructure projects.

The Westside welcomed in a rich and diverse community of Latin American immigrants, but it was broken up by the construction of I-35 in the late 1960s. Kansas City will develop a comprehensive plan to increase mobility and connectivity, repair the community, and redress inequities and barriers to opportunity.

Shortly after a federal judge struck down the Centers for Disease Control's mask mandate for public transportation, all major airlines at Kansas City International Airport announced they would drop their mask requirements.

Delta, United, Southwest, American and Alaska Airlines and other say masks are now optional for travelers on their aircraft.
