Kids Experience Farm Life at Freedom Schools

Kansas City, MO – Nearly 2000 inner-city kids participating in summer Freedom Schools gathered at the American Royal this week. From making ice cream in a bag to roping steer and milking cows, students in the program learned hands on about life on the farm. KCUR's Hayley Salvo has this audio postcard.

Defunded, but not defeated.
