  • The "stolen yard signs" election race outcome was not changed by the counting of provisional ballots. Incumbent Johnson County Commissioner John Toplikar lost to challenger Calvin Hayden.
  • The Kansas House race that was dependent on provisional ballot counts was won by Democrat Gene Rardin.
  • The outcome of the presidential race in Missouri is also dependent on provisional ballots, which are to be counted by November 18.
  • A study by two University of Kansas researchers says climate change poses significant risks for Kansas over the next century.
  • Today is Veteran's Day. A commemorative ceremony was held at Liberty Memorial.
