In Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "The Master and Margarita," the Devil comes to Moscow; he plays some tricks - some are hilarious, some are terrifying - and heads roll.By Laura Spencer

Kansas City, MO – A satire of the Soviet Union under Stalin's rule, "The Master and Margarita" has been described as a cross between Dante's Inferno and Monty Python's Flying Circus. KCUR's Laura Spencer reports on a new adaptation for the stage.

"The Master and Margarita," is the final of six graduate productions in the UMKC Theatre program's 2008-2009 Season. April 24 to 28 and April 29 to May 3 at the Helen F. Spencer Theatre at the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus. It contains material which some may regard as suitable for adults only.
