Long-term Unemployed Lose Benefits In Missouri
Missouri's 7.4 percent jobless rate is the lowest it's been in more than three years - but that's bad news for about 9,000 people receiving unemployment benefits. . The state last year accepted federal money to provide an additional 20 weeks of unemployment benefits to residents who had been out of work for a year and a half. But the state Department of Labor says as of Saturday, Missouri’s seven point four percent jobless rate is too low to meet the criteria for the extra assistance. Find out more here.
