Petitions for a payday loan proposal and minimum wage increase have been submitted.  Credit agencies are keeping an eye on school district's reserves.  It's a daily digest of headlines from KCUR.

Two Petitions Submitted For Missouri Ballot

Supporters of limiting payday loan and raising the minimum wage submitted signatures to get the measures on November’s ballot.  The minimum wage proposal would raise the state minimum wage to $8.25 an hour.  The payday loan measure would limit annual rates to 36 percent.  Read more from the AP here.

Credit Agencies Watching Kansas School Reserves

Credit rating agencies are keeping an eye on the education funding debate in Kansas.   More school districts have been dipping into reserve funds to offset state cuts.  Now, some districts, including Gardner-Edgerton, are seeing their credit rating dip.  Find out more from the Topeka Capital-Journal here.
