Olathe, KS – A routine court hearing for 27 year old accused killer Edwin Hall abruptly changed to a stark declaration of guilt. The Olathe, Kansas man was awaiting trial for capital murder in the June 2007 abduction-killing of recent high school graduate Kelsey Smith. The Overland Park, Kansas teenager was forced into her car in the parking lot of a Target Store in her home city. Indistinct videotape images from a store security camera captured the abduction. Kelsey Smith's body was found twenty miles to the East, just south of Kansas City, Missouri. By plea agreement, Hall gives up all appeals and agrees to serve life in prison without parole. He will be sentenced September 16th. District Attorney Phill Kline says Hall is likely to serve his sentence at the Kansas maximum security prison at El Dorado.
