KC History: Friends Of The Sheffield Cemetery Prepare For Ed Asner Fundraiser

Sheffield Cemetery

The Sheffield Cemetery is the second largest Jewish cemetery in the Kansas City area and certainly one of the oldest, but until recently, it didn't look like such an area of prestige.

On this Central Standard Friday, our KC History host Monroe Dodd speaks with Rickie Haith, president of the group Friends of Sheffield Cemetery. The group was formed in 2003 to help beautify the cemetery and conform to Jewish standards of ethics and pride.

COMING UP:
On June 17th, Kansas City, KS native Ed Asner will perform a one man show, "FDR," to benefit the cemetery at 7pm. For more information, visit sheffieldcemetery.org.
