As the legislative sessions in both Kansas and Missouri get under way, lawmakers face a number of challenging and controversial issues.
In Kansas, education funding and state finances are at the center of debate. In Missouri, school transfers and ethics are at the top of a long agenda.
We want to know, if you could sit down with your legislators what would you say?
Tell KCUR: What do you want to ask or tell your legislators?
Tweet us your answers with the #TellKCUR hashtag or go to our Facebook page and leave your answer in a comment.
You also can leave us a message at 816-235-2881 or send an email with your answer to social@kcur.org.
We’ll share your stories Thursday online and on the air during Central Standard, which starts at 10 a.m.
By the way, this Tell KCUR question also is double-duty for us here at KCUR. We recently launched a 'Statehouse Blend' podcast and broadcast segment (on Up To Date) in which we sit down for a casual chat with Kansas legislators and constituents. We'll consider your responses as we progress through these conversations over the next few months. And Kansans, if you would like to be a participant in 'Statehouse Blend,' fill out this short questionnaire.
Tell KCUR is part of an initiative to engage the community and shine a light on your experiences and opinions. We’ll ask a new question every week and then share your feedback on the air and online. Check out our arsenal of questions and your answers.
