In Missouri the Libertarian Party has a full slate of candidates for statewide office.
The party’s candidate for Vice President is spending the final days before the election in the Show-Me State.
Libertarian VP Candidate Jim Gray rolled up to a St. Louis bar and grill yesterday in a white minivan with a few hundred signatures from supporters on its exterior. Before talking with a dozen or so supporters, he said if you want to fix the system, how about just getting rid of most of it.
“And by the way, we’re Libertarians, and we do believe in government, but government is the last resort, not the first resort.”
Gray said he and Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson are crossing their fingers that they can get to five percent and qualify for matching federal campaign funds in 2016.
Gray is also visiting Kansas City Monday.
