Kansas City’s new Citizen Task Force on Violence is up and rolling as it confronts the difficult question of why there’s so much violence in the metro. The committee had its first meeting last week, amid another spike in homicides in recent weeks.
Guests:
- Councilwoman Jolie Justus heads the task force.
- Wick Thomas is teen librarian at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library and a task force member.
- Rev. Tina Harris is the Pastor at Grand Avenue Temple United Methodist Church, located on 9th Street in KCMO. She is also a member of the task force.
