Kansas City, MO – Seven Kansas City schools will be transferred to the Independence district. A Jackson County Judge ordered the Kansas City School district and its building corporation to transfer the schools within two weeks.

Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline's campaign manager says a fundraising request made in the name of an anti-abortion group was a "terrible mistake."

Jay Nixon says Missouri needs a new health care plan. The Democrat is running for governor and stopped in Kansas City yesterday.
