"Precious Doe" killer remains unrepentant at sentencing, says he was not understood, and didn't get a fair trial. Harrell Johnson was sentenced to life without possibility of parole.

A headless body found near I- 70 about 60 miles east of Kansas City has been identified as Monteze Murrell of Raytown, reported missing in Juhe.

The Kansas City city council prepares to confront a budget shortfall which by worst case estimate will amount to as much as $80 million.

Defunded, but not defeated.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
