Kansas City, MO – There's continued disagreement in Topeka on how to fill a hole in the coming fiscal year's budget.

Missouri lawmakers have left the State Capitol for their annual Spring Break. Republicans are touting the passage of autism insurance legislation in the House and an ethics reform bill in the Senate as major first-half accomplishments.

The Kansas City, Kansas school district could be in line for federal money for low performing schools.

On the day it was announced that Kansas State basketball coach Frank Martin was named Associated Press Coach of the Year, it was also announced that Martin agreed to a contract extension.
