Kansas City, MO – Carol Levers is a branch manager for the Kansas City, Kansas public library. She was recently named one of the top ten librarians in the US in a contest sponsored by the American Library Association and the New York Times. But her story isn't just about shelving books. It's the journey of a woman who escaped apartheid in South Africa and discovered her calling help other immigrants find their way. KC Currents' Alex Smith has her story.
