Betse Ellis, the fiddle player for old-time country band The Wilder, talks about her new CD.

Kansas City, MO – Fourteen years ago, fiddle player Betse Ellis joined with fellow local musicians Ike Sheldon and Phil Wade to form the Wilders, a band specializing in the country music of the '20s, '30s and '40s which used to be called hillbilly. Since then, the group, which now also includes bass player Nate Gawren, has recorded four full-length CDs, and they continue to tour extensively in the US and Europe. Ellis has recently released her own solo CD, entitled Don't You Want To Go, as a way to explore more of her folk, blues, rock and even classical influences.
