As part of its spring program, the Kansas City Ballet presents two world premieres - including one by choreographer Toni Pimble. Pimble studied at the Royal Academy of Dance, and danced with companies in Germany before co-founding Eugene Ballet Company in Oregon 1978 where she's artistic director.

Kansas City, MO – Pimble's choreography experiments with a mix of modern and classical techniques, on view in her piece for the Kansas City Ballet, "Concerto Grosso," set to the music of Ernest Bloch. KCUR's Laura Spencer caught up with the choreographer this week at a rehearsal at the Lyric Theatre.
