Dr.Long was at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum last weekend as part of a program commemorating Jackie Robinson Day on April 17th.
Michael Long's book contains some never-before-seen correspondence between Jackie Robinson and prominent political and civil rights figures of the day, and presents a different picture of the man who most remember for graciously accepting his place in history.
