Kansas City Struggles With Budget And Promises

Kansas City Mayor Sly James and the council are having their final meetings this week and next over the city's budget, which is more than a billion dollars.

They'll take a final vote to adopt the budget on March 29th, and it goes into effect May 1st

The Kansas City Star's city hall reporter Lynn Horsley has been following the negotiations since the beginning of the year.  Sylvia Maria Gross spoke with Horsley about this year's budget and its challenges.
