Former Senator Looks Back At Life In The Center

In a country that's increasingly partisan, sometimes it's the centrist who's got a unique point of view.

On Friday's Up to Date, we'll talk with former U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson, a Democrat who spent his time in national government as a swing voter in the center.

Former Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson has been named chief executive officer of the NAIC. Prior to retiring from the Senate in 2012 after two terms, Nelson served as governor of Nebraska from 1990-1998. He also served as executive vice president and chief of staff for the NAIC (1982-1985) and director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance (1975-1976).
