KCUR 89.3
Former Deputy Police Chief of the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Tyrone Garner is running for mayor of the Wyandotte County Unified Government.

Citizens in Kansas City, Kansas, and Wyandotte County will decide many competitive races in the August 3 primary election, including mayor.

Speaking about issues in the KCK area, mayoral candidate Tyrone Garner talks about community members that are tired of riding the "merry-go-round" to absolutely nowhere.

"They feel that there is lack of engaged leadership, they feel that they have been left behind in the opportunity for economic success, and my position has been just listening to these people," Garner says.
