Multiple school districts in the greater Kansas City area are implementing mask mandates as the delta variant continues to surge in the region.

Teachers, parents and students are preparing for a new school year as the delta variant surge in Missouri continues.

Though issues of mask mandates, COVID-19 testing, and social distancing were raised ahead of the 2020 schoolyear, they remain contested topics even now. School health directors from Shawnee Mission and Liberty share the lessons learned last year and the best practices to protect students' health in the classroom.
