Whether paper or digital people opened their planners to tell us what they do for fun.

We asked people to share what's on their social calendars this month and found there's lots to do whether you have just an evening or a whole week free.

Here at Up To Date it's not uncommon to ask a coworker what their plans are for the evening or weekend.

But we're a small sampling of what's available for fun and entertainment so, we decided to ask others who live and work around here, "What's on your planner?"

Folks from Kansas City to Lawrence to Topeka told us what they're up to. From mountain hiking to Halloween movies to drag shows, hear what the locals have planned for the coming weeks.

You deserve to know what your taxpayer dollars are paying for and what public officials are doing on your behalf – I’ll work to report on irresponsible government spending in the Kansas City area and shed light on controversies that slow government down. And when you hear my voice in the morning, you know you’re getting everything you need to start your day. Email me at sam@kcur.org, find me on Twitter @samzeff or call me at 816-235-5004.
As senior producer of Up To Date, I want our listeners to hear familiar and new voices that shine light on the issues and challenges facing the myriad communities KCUR serves, and to expose our audiences to the wonderful and the creative in the Kansas City area. Just as important to me is an obligation to mentor the next generation of producers to ensure that the important conversations continue. Reach me at alexanderdk@kcur.org.
