Kansas City Is Revamping Its Long-Term Land Development Plan

Construction of the Loews Convention Center Hotel was just one of the major development projects in Kansas City in the last decade. A commission is currently working on what development will look like for the next 20 years.

Kansas City unveiled FOCUS, its original Comprehensive Plan, in 1997. This year marks the first overhaul of that framework, called The KC Spirit Playbook.

Two of the people involved discussed what is being considered and some of the factors that could influence the revised plan.
