Kansas City Board Of Police Commissioners Sues City Over Department's Budget

The police board is going through the courts to stop the attempt by Mayor Lucas and the city council to refocus the use of $42 million of the department's authorized budget.

The board says the city council's action could undermine police operations. We outline the lawsuit that was filed on Friday, and break down how Governor Mike Parson and other Republicans in the state capitol are responding.
