The RideKC Navigator app debuted on the Prospect Avenue Max bus route. KCATA CEO Robbie Makinen hopes to extend it to all bus routes in the Kansas City area.

RideKC Navigator gives people location-specific audio instructions to help navigate bus stops and intersections in Kansas City.

"Public transit is about access," Makinen said. The app was developed in partnership with Alphapointe and Sensible Innovations.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers.
