Missourians Could See More Taxes From 2021 Legislature

Missouri lawmakers are in recess for one week before returning to the 2021 legislative session.

Missouri lawmakers are on spring break, but still have hot button issues to work through when they return.

The issues still on the docket range from banning transgender student athletes from playing sports to raising the gas tax and adding another requirement to the state’s voter identification law for elections. Missouri lawmakers also have to decide on legislation to forgive federal unemployment overpayments made in 2020.
