Democrats and a few Republicans are calling for curbing President Trump's unilateral use of military power in Iran, despite previous such efforts failing to advance.

The deaths of three U.S. service members mark the first American casualties since the start of operation "Epic Fury" on Saturday. President Trump said "there will likely be more" Americans killed.

Prosecutors fear the ruling will affect victims of violent crimes and could make meaningless the state’s Castle Doctrine, a version of “stand your ground” laws.

Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe commended state agents who responded to the shootings, and spoke of supporting the families of the fallen officers. The suspect was recently out on bail, when a traffic stop turned fatal and led to a nine-hour manhunt and shootout.
